Listening | Talking | Exploring | Supporting | Sharing

Welcome

Time Out Scotland is a self-help peer support group which meets every week.

It is not a counselling or therapy service as there are no mental health practitioners or group leaders involved. Everyone at the group is in need of a safe and confidential space to talk through the difficulties they are experiencing with others who can empathise and relate. The aim of the group is self-help while at the same time supporting each other.

It can feel overwhelming to come along for the first time but everyone else there will have been through their first time coming along, so you will be treated with respect and sensitivity.

Our Meetings

Before lockdown we always met in person every week but we moved to Zoom only during lockdown.  We were not able to return to our previous venue after lockdown and have struggled to find a permanent venue since so have been using a mixture of Zoom and adhoc venues.  As of May 2025 we have now closed our Zoom account and are not holding online meetings at present.  We aim to have a new in person meeting venue in place within the next few months and will post on our website as soon as we have more information on this.  So for now Time Out is on a temporary hiatus.

When we resume meetings will be held on a Wednesday from 7pm to 9pm as they always have been historically.

Meeting Dates

We are not presently holding meetings on Zoom.

As of May 2025 we are seeking a permanent venue for Wednesday evening in person meetings.  We will post details here for all new attendees when we have a new venue, which we aim to have sorted within the next few months.  So at present we are on hiatus.

If you are a historical attendee already known to the group and you want to touch base please do get in touch via Contact us

NEXT IN PERSON MEETING:
